Discover our range of outerwear made from fine merino wool for the littlest ones. Starting in September 2025, our disana stock range offers a selection of baby knitwear in sizes 50/56 to 86/92. These items are available all year round, should always be in stock, and ready for quick delivery.

With their soft colors, the items in our baby range harmonize perfectly with the existing disana collections. Their timeless design, stretchy purl stitch, and attention to detail make them a true disana item and a practical addition to our fall|winter and spring|summer ranges.

That's why organic merino wool is so important to us.

Clothing and textiles made from fine merino wool are ideal for meeting the high warmth needs of babies and toddlers. Pure merino wool traps thousands of tiny air bubbles between the fibers, forming an insulating layer and preventing body heat from escaping. This keeps wool clothing warm without overheating.

We are convinced that our organic wool has its own unique "vibrancy," which can be felt when wearing our disana clothing. This vibrancy has a stimulating, but also calming and relaxing effect on the wearer of wool clothing. We use only the finest wool from merino sheep in our disana products. The hair of this breed of sheep, with a diameter of just a few micrometers, is so thin that it cannot stand up on its own. This means that the wool hairs always lie flat and only touch the skin with their long sides, not with the prickly fiber tips. This is a truly "subtle" difference from many other types of wool.

Baby & Newborn Diapering and Care

Disana began with a washable and reusable diaper system. Even back then – a good 50 years ago – we relied entirely on the properties of pure natural fibers. Organic cotton as a highly absorbent fiber for diapers and diaper liners. Organic wool for the waterproof cover around the diaper pack. And bourrette silk, with its antimicrobial properties, for quickly healing skin irritations and redness. Using these fibers, we have developed a small but fine range for diapering and the care of babies and toddlers.

Feel calmer, sleep deeper!

Wool has a calming effect on our bodies. Babies wrapped in wool are calmer, sleep more deeply, and also show increased alertness. This unique feel-good effect is unmatched by any other fiber. What could be more natural than to incorporate this calming effect of pure wool into our blankets and sleeping bags? This is where our wool meets traditional knitting. This combination creates unique fabrics, patterns, and designs that give our blankets and sleeping bags their distinctive character.

NEW TO OUR RANGE-

DOUBLEFACE-BABYBLANKET

New to our range is a baby blanket made entirely of soft double-faced boiled wool. At 620 g/m², it's slightly heavier than the boiled wool used in our disana clothing. However, it's incredibly soft and fluffy. The interplay of the two colors on each side of the fabric creates ever-changing melanges, patterns, and interplays of light and shadow. This makes each blanket a unique knitted piece and truly one-of-a-kind.

An intricate crochet seam not only forms the edge, but also subtly emphasizes the color and gives each blanket that special something.
